Margy asks great questions to get clients in touch with what they truly want when selling or buying a home. Her ultimate goal is to help clients think through one of the biggest decisions of a lifetime, assisting them to focus in on their best options and finding solutions that fit clients’ lifestyle and needs. Formerly Chair and Secretary of Realtors® of Central Colorado, Margy is well-versed in the sometimes complicated aspects of home ownership in the area, including right to ranch issues, wells and septic systems, grazing leases, and water law, to name a few. 

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Margy moved to Salida in 2016 after living in Louisville, Kentucky for 30 years. Her interests include skiing, hiking, bicycling, cooking, reading, and most importantly, family.Margy has a PhD in Organizational Development, and her dissertation topic is Risk Taking and Innovation, all about healthy risk taking. She holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Brown University, and a Master’s degree in Education from University of Cincinnati.

Her real estate education includes several designations, including Graduate Real Estate Institute,Senior Real Estate Specialist, Certified Aging in Place Specialist, and Certified Luxury Home Specialist. As a person who loves to learn, she strives to pursue a wide array of continuing education which includes many more hours than required, and she is currently pursuing a MFA in Interior Architecture and Design. Previous careers include founding and running retail stores (Clay & Cotton and Bluebird Day Mercantile) in Louisville, Kentucky, St. Louis, Missouri, and Salida. Clay & Cotton is celebrating 20 years in business (under new ownership) as of March 2024. Margy was the principal of a school for several years. She also taught early childhood education as well as graduate students in leadership and strategic planning.
